Why choose Rhino Shield over traditional paint?
Better ingredients make a better product. Our elastomeric, ceramic-based paints are environmentally friendly and reduce the need to frequently repaint your home. Rhino Shield products have been tested and proven to waterproof, prevent the growth of mold mildew, and reduce energy consumption in your home due to its high solar reflective index and insulating properties. Rhino Shield is also a breathable product allowing natural water vapors to escape thus preventing coating breakdown.
What surfaces may Rhino Shield be used on?
Rhino Shield may be used on virtually any surface including wood, stucco, Hardie Plank®, brick, block, vinyl, and metal. To see previous projects, please view our gallery.

What colors are available?
Rhino Shield ceramic coating can be tinted to virtually any color using high grade paint tints. See our Color Choices page for more details.
Can I change the color later?
Yes. Rhino Shield can be recoated again with the durable finish coat if necessary.
Is Rhino Shield expensive?
Rhino Shield is typically more expensive than a traditional paint job. This is mostly due to Rhino Shield providing an 8 to 10 times thicker coating than paint and typically spending much more time on home preparation. However, by eliminating the repainting cycle, a customer actually saves considerable money over time. To request a custom Rhino Shield quote, click here.

We’re not able to offer such an extensive product warranty without assurance that preparation and installation will be done by our dealer network.

No, it is for exterior walls only. However, we do have an interior ceramic wall system called Nature’s Cote that is perfect for interior needs. We also offer a separate product called Rhino Roof for roof applications.

Yes! We’re often called upon by historic commissions to protect famous historical homes or buildings. Please see our gallery of historical work (Historical Home Gallery link). Will you replace rotten or failing wood on my house?
It is imperative that Rhino Shield be applied to acceptable condition wood. We will repair or patch wood if possible but never to the point where we feel it will cause the system to fail over time. If we determine any wood must be replaced, we will highlight problem areas needing replacement wood and provide a cost recovery quote for wood replacement as part of the estimation process.
I have small cracks in my stucco. Will Rhino Shield fill in these cracks?
Rhino Shield will naturally fill small stucco cracks (1/16” or smaller) using the two-step process. Larger cracks may require an application of a stucco patch prior to applying the Rhino Shield system. Once applied, Rhino Shield will help reduce future cracking due to the bonding properties of the adhesive primer and the ceramic finish.

This copolymer formula rejuvenates old surfaces, protects, and waterproofs. Rhino-Clear prevents water intrusion by sheeting and sealing off water, thus reducing the environment for mold, mildew, and algae formation. There is a five (5) year warranty on Rhino Clear.
