Expert Painting Contractors Offering the Rhino Shield® System
Ever wonder how Rhino Shield® is installed? Here, Palmetto Ceramic Coatings breaks down the installation process.
How Rhino Shield® Is Installed
There are many steps involved with the installation of Rhino Shield, but it all starts with a thorough inspection that involves looking at the area that needs to be coated. We’ll make note of any areas that must be repaired or replaced, including stucco.
Next, we’ll thoroughly clean the outside of your home, including power washing all surfaces. This removes any dust, oils or mildew. After the cleaning, we’ll repair any wall damage identified during the inspection, including patching stucco and fixing wood. This helps improve the look of the finished project and also makes it easier for the ceramic coating to adhere to your wall.
We’ll next remove any loose paint or debris by sanding and scraping it off. This can be done with either chemical or mechanical stripping. This step helps set up the surface so the primer and ceramic finish coat bonds better.
Our crew will also caulk any vertical joints, cracks or horizontal seams around the windows and doors. We will mask off any sections of the exterior that aren’t going to be coated, including doors, light fixtures, windows and more.
Our experienced installers will now prime the walls to ensure that they are waterproof and sealed. Finally, we’ll add the ceramic coat, which can be tinted with over 1,500 colors. We will next touch up any detailed areas and then clean up your property, leaving the job site as clean or cleaner than before.
